MODULAR CROWD CONTROL BARRIER (MCCB) Introduction D-Fence has developed a completely new concept in crowd control systems, mobile, modular, and extremely resistant. These new metal structures are highly resistant to control and limit crowd extent. The system has been developed with close cooperation with Israeli police forces and to be used by them. The modular structures are already in their manufacturing phase and will soon be put at the disposal, as a first step, of the Israeli police. This system has also worldwide patent. The Concept of MCCB The concept is based on identical modules that can be combined in two main ways, such as, stand-alone and separated modular structures as well as combined structures made up by two modules assembled as an inverted “T”. Both ways allow the modules to be connected together and form a long, sound and continuous barrier. The concept supports the use of the system for standard light duty missions, such as routing as well as heavy duty missions, e.g.: aggressive demonstrations. The rigidity of the barricade can be adjusted on site as a result of the events development as well as the increase in the aggressively of the crowd. The Trailer A robust two wheel trailer specially designed for the transportation of the modules is also available allowing a rapid deployment. Likewise these trailers can be stored and parked one beside the other. In relation to the amount of modules that can be carried by these trailers, they can be manufactured in accordance to customer’s requests. Nevertheless we suggest a trailer that is able to carry approximately 50 modules and be conveniently stored. These trailers can be pulled by light transportation vehicles such as pick ups, jeep type vehicles, small trucks, command cars, etc. Technical Specification The modules are very simple and, when folded are converted into a flat square surface of approximately 7cm height by 1,20 m width, therefore they are very easy to handle and deploy as well as space saving for low expense storage, transportation and maintenance.
