D-Fender - Advanced Vibration Fence Sensor

Introduction
D-Fence's D-Fender uses a popular technology for protecting high-risk sites based on inertial / vibration sensing technology. D-Fence's D-Fender is most reliable and advanced vibration sensor. It's unique technology provide superior sensitivity and accurate response to vibration caused by real intruders. An advanced algorithm analyzes the information from the sensors by a dedicated processor and sends an alarm in case of an intrusion. Installing the D-Fender is very fast and require no previous background. The sensor can be fitted into any existing perimeter fence..

System Elements
The vibration/inertial sensors are attached to any existing perimeter fence or wall. Any real attempt to climb, cut, lift, or break the perimeter fence, will be detected and an alarm will be activated.
A sensor cable will be attached to the existing fence around the site perimeter. Each of the fence section between two poles will have sensing device type vibration/inertial sensors. The sensors are series-connected, every few meters by a twisted pair cable (sensor cable). All electronic field local center will be connected to the control room by a communication cable, which will supply the power to the electronic card inside the units.

Sensors and sensors cable
The inertial/vibration sensors are pre-assembled on the sensor cable and ready for fast installation. The vibration/inertial sensor is active as a "band pass filter" designed to operate as a double redundancy sensor. This filter operates on a wide signals spectrum in order to reduce all undesired false alarms and to upgrade system accuracy by upgrading the signal to noise ratio. The sensor contacts are sealed within a special plastic material house to eliminate failure during operation under extremely weather conditions. The usual length between two fence posts is 3 meter approx. (4 meters maximum) and for securing this fence section there is a need to adapt the sensors near the posts.

Sensor features
Sensor housing is molded plastic, UV protected and sealed to withstand all environmental conditions such as solar radiation, humidity, rain, dust etc. Sensor housing is designed for fast installation requiring no special tools. Sensor's alarm will be activated by any attempt of intrusion. A special housing is available for installing the sensor to a wall in order to protect against intrusion thorough the wall.

Control Room
The control room is used for receiving all information from the FLPU's located at the perimeter and processes the information before display it in front of the security personnel or security officer.

Maintenance
The D-Fender is maintenance-free. No field maintenance and no control room maintenance is required.
