Cookie Policy
Last updated: 1 November 2026
In short: this Site does not set any cookies of its own, and it does not use analytics, advertising, social-media tracking pixels or any other tracking technology. It only keeps a few display and viewer settings in your browser, so that your choices are remembered.
1. What cookies and similar technologies are
Cookies are small files that a website places in your browser. Similar technologies, such as the browser's local storage, serve the same purpose. Some are strictly necessary for something you asked for, others are used to measure visits or show advertising. This Site uses no measuring or advertising technologies.
2. What this Site stores in your browser
The following items are written to your browser's local storage when you use the matching function. They never leave your device, we cannot read them and they contain no personal data.
| Name | Purpose | Kept for | Type |
|---|---|---|---|
dfence-theme | Remembers whether you chose the light or the dark display. | Until you clear your browser data | Functional, local storage |
dfence-book-view | Remembers how you view the catalogue (book or single page). | Until you clear your browser data | Functional, local storage |
dfence-book-zoom | Remembers the zoom level of the catalogue viewer. | Until you clear your browser data | Functional, local storage |
dfence-book-sound | Remembers whether the page-turn sound is on or off. | Until you clear your browser data | Functional, local storage |
3. Third parties
- Fonts, icons and scripts are served from our own site, not from third-party networks.
- YouTube: some pages offer a YouTube report. Nothing from YouTube loads until you click play. The player then loads from the privacy-enhanced domain youtube-nocookie.com, and Google may set cookies or read identifiers in your browser, under its own policy.
- Links to WhatsApp, LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram and YouTube leave the Site. Once you follow them, those services' own cookies and policies apply.
- Our hosting provider records technical access data in server logs. This is not done through cookies; see the Privacy Policy.
4. Why there is no cookie banner
A consent banner is required where a site uses cookies or similar technologies that are not strictly necessary, such as analytics or advertising. Because this Site uses only functional settings that you trigger yourself, and loads third-party content only after you click, no banner is shown. If we ever add analytics, marketing or other optional technologies, we will ask for your consent first and update this page.
5. How to control or delete these settings
You can delete the items above, and block or delete cookies in general, in your browser settings (usually under Privacy or Site data). The Site works without them; your display and viewer choices will simply be forgotten after each visit.
6. Questions
Write to sales@d-fence.com. For how we handle personal data in general, see the Privacy Policy.
