Privacy Policy
Last updated: 1 November 2026
This policy explains how D-Fence Electronic Fencing and Security Systems Ltd. ("D-FENCE", "we", "us") handles personal data when you visit www.d-fence.com and our other language versions of this website (the "Site"), or contact us through it. We keep the Site simple on purpose: it has no user accounts, no newsletter, no advertising and no analytics or tracking tools.
1. Who is responsible
The controller of personal data processed through the Site is D-Fence Electronic Fencing and Security Systems Ltd., a company incorporated in Israel.
Contact for all privacy matters: sales@d-fence.com, or WhatsApp +972 54-433-1909. We have not appointed a data protection officer; requests are handled by company management.
2. What personal data we handle and how it reaches us
- Technical access data. When you load a page, our hosting provider's servers automatically record standard technical information such as your IP address, the date and time, the page or file requested, the browser and device type and the referring page. This is used to deliver the Site, keep it secure and fix faults.
- Enquiry form. The form on the Contact page does not send anything to a server. It prepares a message on your own device (name, organisation, e-mail address, sector, project length and your free-text details) and hands it to your e-mail application, Gmail, Outlook or WhatsApp. We receive the content only if and when you press send in that application. Please do not include sensitive personal data or confidential security details of your site that are not needed for a first enquiry.
- Direct communication. If you e-mail us, message us on WhatsApp or call, we handle the contact details and the content you choose to give us, in order to answer you and manage the business relationship.
- Preference settings stored in your browser (light or dark display, catalogue viewer settings). These stay on your device and are not sent to us. See the Cookie Policy.
We do not knowingly collect special categories of personal data, we do not make decisions about you by automated means and we do not build visitor profiles.
3. Why we use the data and on what legal basis
- To operate, secure and improve the Site (technical access data): our legitimate interest in a working and safe website.
- To answer your enquiry, send information or a proposal and manage the resulting relationship: steps requested by you before a contract, and our legitimate interest in conducting business.
- To comply with legal obligations (for example record-keeping, export-control and sanctions screening that apply to our products) and to establish, exercise or defend legal claims.
- Anything beyond this, such as marketing messages, only with your consent, which you can withdraw at any time.
For visitors in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland this relies on Article 6(1)(b), (c) and (f) of the GDPR. In Israel it follows the Protection of Privacy Law, 5741-1981, and its regulations.
4. Who receives your data
- Hosting provider: Vercel Inc. delivers the Site and processes technical access data on our behalf.
- E-mail, messaging and IT service providers we use to run our business, including WhatsApp if you contact us there.
- D-FENCE group companies, authorised distributors and regional partners, only where needed to handle an enquiry that concerns their region or product.
- Professional advisers, insurers, courts, regulators and authorities where the law requires or permits it.
We do not sell personal data and we do not share it for advertising.
5. Transfers abroad
D-FENCE is based in Israel, which the European Commission recognises as providing an adequate level of data protection. Our hosting provider operates a global network that includes servers in the United States and elsewhere. Where personal data of EEA, UK or Swiss visitors is transferred to a country without an adequacy decision, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses or the provider's certification under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework.
6. How long we keep data
- Technical access data: kept by the hosting provider only for the short period set in its own settings, and used only for security and troubleshooting.
- Enquiries and business correspondence: for as long as needed to deal with the enquiry and the resulting relationship, and afterwards for the periods required for accounting, export-control and limitation purposes.
- Browser preference settings: until you delete them in your browser.
When data is no longer needed, we delete or anonymise it.
7. Your rights
Subject to the applicable law, you may ask us to confirm whether we hold personal data about you and to give you a copy, to correct inaccurate data, to delete data, to restrict or object to its use, to receive data you gave us in a portable format and to withdraw consent you have given. Under Israeli law you also have the right to inspect your data and to request its correction or deletion.
To use a right, write to sales@d-fence.com. We may need to verify your identity and will answer within the time the law requires, normally within one month.
If you are unhappy with our answer you can complain to the Israeli Privacy Protection Authority or, if you are in the EEA, UK or Switzerland, to the data protection authority of your country.
8. Security
The Site is served over an encrypted HTTPS connection and does not load fonts, scripts or media from third-party servers when a page opens. We limit access to the messages we receive to the people who need them. No internet service is completely secure, so please share only what is needed.
9. Children
The Site is addressed to businesses, public bodies and professionals. It is not intended for children, and we do not knowingly collect data from them.
10. Links and third-party content
The Site links to WhatsApp, LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram and YouTube. If you follow a link or press play on a YouTube report, that provider's own privacy policy and cookies apply. YouTube players load only after you click and use the privacy-enhanced domain youtube-nocookie.com.
11. Changes
We may update this policy, for example if we add a service to the Site. The date at the top shows the latest version, and we will ask for your consent first if a change requires it.
